-Paying It Forward
paying it forward is a phenomenon that is yet to be experienced by many, including me. i know of a lot of people doing good deeds to others. but i would just like to share that i'm happy to learn and very proud to say that a friend is paying it forward. on a somewhat bigger scale than i expected.
i am not grabbing the credit for a friend's good deed, but i'd like to belive that i have contributed (if not influenced him) to that friend's inspiration to do what he's doing now. kumbaga, 'nadaplisan', 'nabahiran'. i know naman na my friend has a good heart and always means well. and if he could help, he would by all means. (even if sometimes, helping means just listening.)
but recently i discovered that he's really into philanthropic works.. and the concept, in every way, reflects the personality of my friend. hindi pilit yung concept. galing, di ba?
i am sharing this not to boast but i just want to point out that you too can make a big difference by starting with a humble little act. please, take your cue.
Thorsen gives Chris the keys to his car.
Chris: You want me to drive home in your car?
Thorsen: No, I want you to take my car. Had a lot of luck lately. I don't need it.
Chris: You're giving me a brand-new Jaguar, and you don't want anything?
Thorsen: I can prove it. Give me your card.
Chris gives Thorsen a business card
Thorsen: I'll be in touch.
Chris: Whoa, what is this? What, you want me to kill your wife or something?
Thorsen: No. Tempting, but no. Call it generosity between two strangers.
