who's your boss?

our hungry tummies took us to KFC this afternoon. as we were discussing trivial stuff about being in a choir, work and colleagues, i realized something and asked Cyprus,

me : di ba nakikita natin yung mga boss natin na aburido sila sa mall, noh.. ikaw ba gusto mo na pagdating mo sa age nila ngayon, aburido ka din sa work that does not directly benefit your family?

Cyp : ayoko noh! ang gusto ko magtuturo na lang ako.. magta-trabaho pa din pero mas madami pa din akong time sa self ko and sa family..

me : oo nga, ako ayoko din.. gusto ko madami pa din time sa family.. bakit kaya sila, gusto nila?


to each his own. but for me, i don't want to be nodding to an ego- and power-tripping boss.

i want to be the boss of my life. i will be. i want to age gracefully, dedicating time to more important things in life. i will.
