double celebration! =)

we had a double birthday celebration last Monday for Troy and Jeff whose birthdays fall on June 1 and June 2, respectively. para tipid (actually, hindi din) and less hassle.

everything seemed like a last minute preparation. 10am of June 1, we were still in SM Hypermarket doing additional grocery. madami pang kulang na ingredients! ..when we were done with the grocery, i had no other option but to already tell Jeff about my surprise cake for them. And, i'm just glad that Jeff did appreciate the surprise, (which is very rare) and he loved the "The Incredibles" theme. =)

wala pa man bisita, pagod na kami. there were still so much to do and prepare so we could beat the time we asked our invitees to come, which was 4pm. my mother-in-law's cousin who was supposed to help out in food preparation didn't make it because she was sick. we are just very thankful that some of our neighbors are very helpful. we didn't even have to ask, they just went to our house to offer a hand. in the end, there were 5 of them in our kitchen. =) good people. God bless them.

we also had to do some extra house cleaning. so even when Troy was asleep during the afternoon, i had to keep on moving - try to clean the house (as some of my friends already know, my mother-in-law has an underdeveloped organizing skill) and attend to Stef all at the same time. ang gulo gulo ni Stef. maybe she was really bored and wondering why we won't stop moving around the house. hehe ..hindi nga siya masyado naasikaso that day eh. haay.

4pm came

the tables and chairs are set. most of the food are ready, but there were still no visitors yet. 4:30pm, wala pa din. 5pm, wala pa din. then, after around 15 minutes more, thank heavens, nagsidatingan na sila! i was almost kind of feeling sad already, kasi we prepared at akala ko mapapanis lang ang food! ..and it's Troy's first birthday. anube.

plus, i guess, our guests came late because our celebration was on a weekday. first day of the week pa! cympre, the parents came from work pa. some of the kids already had their first day of classes. kaya late nagsidatingan.

actually, konti lang ang dumating. konti than what we expected. pero ok lang din kasi masaya pa din. even the kids, konti lang din. that's why the kids were (surprisingly) happy to realize they actually got so many candies from the pabitin and basagan ng palayok. hehehe

actually, konti lang yung kids pero ang gulo-gulo na! as in ang gulo! ang ingay! ganun pala sa kindergarten...

sa totoo lang, napagod si Troy. i think na-stress pa nga siya sa gulo ng bahay, sa gulo ng mga tao, sa ingay. he enjoyed it more when we had our solo playtime. he enjoyed it more nung tatlo na lang kami nila Tito sa table. syempre, napagod ako kasi sakin lang niya gusto sumama. ni hindi man nga ako nakakain! :p

COME NIGHT TIME

sila Papa humabol na lang, around 7:30pm na sila nakadating. but their presence made me really happy. Papa was really funny. Jeff and Papa bonded while i was trying to put Troy to sleep. when my mother-in-law offered to put Troy to sleep, pumunta na ko sa table nila Papa. nagku-kwentuhan kami na parang magbabarkada lang. ang saya! =)

i tried to eat, pero wala pa din talaga akong gana. kumuha ako ng rice and ulam, tapos natapon pa! so clumsy! siguro, hindi na kinaya ng arm muscles ko. nangawit kakabuhat kay Troy. hehe ..tapos kumuha ako ng cake, naka-2 small bites lang ako tapos sila Tikboy and Arjay na ang tumira when I left the table. haha!

when Papa, Tita and Tara left, kami-kami na lang nila Jeff, Arjay and Tikboy. TIL 3AM! tinakasan ko lang sila around 1:30am, natulog na ko. hehehe

basta, we are very grateful to our families and those friends who came. you are all appreciated. truly appreciated. =) (sige na nga, Doydoy. exempted ka na! hehehe)
