star-magnet

i was goin' to finish and publish an entry about an encounter last saturday, but i had second thoughts because i'm discovering that the encounter could be a sham. LOL

i'm blogging about it anyway.

i was at TMP last saturday, waiting for the barista cup to start. (i have an odd dream job : to be a barista. but when i was a child i wanted to be a grocery cashier. haha) ...suddenly, a pretty lady popped out from somewhere and asked Batman if she could take the seat near us. stunned Batman couldn't say a word (you know, you cannot ambush him.. his nose will bleed LOL) ..so in behalf, i said "yes, sure."

she sat there with a cup of coffee on her hand, sipping from time to time, probably an indication that she really likes coffee.

moving along ~ the barista cup started late and that was our point of conversation as soon as Batman left to deliver a short message to the audience. she was really pretty. fahionista. the type that momon or Miami would seriously admire. hehe she was nice. 'i crush her' nga eh..kakabakla..kakatyibo pala.. LOL ...she seemed very excited to witness the contest.

i never saw her before here, so i asked,

me : uhm, are you a tenant here?
m : ah no..
me : ah..
m : but i'm always here sa *coffeeshop*, every saturday.. eh i heard kanina, sabi for all coffee lovers, so i went here..
me : ah ok.. are you with your officemates?
m : no, ako lang.. they're in manila..

the first thing on mind to ask was if she worked for a call center.. but i did not dare ask as she might get offended for any shallow reason (beep beep to all agents! no biggies, ok?)

me : what do you do?
m : i'm a model..
me : ah ok.. (i didn't doubt it, like i said she's pretty)
m : ..i also do photography..

and so on and so forth...

m : you know the *title of a popular talent search"...? yeah, i'm one of the finalists.. you vote (for) me ha.. but i still prefer to stay here (in the province)... kasi doon madaming...
me : ah ok.. sorry, i don't get to watch that much tv na kasi e.. what's your name again?
m : M____
me : cge, i'll vote for you.. i'll campaign for you.. so, you do hosting? like events similar to this one?
m : yeah, you save my number...
me : ah ok, cge.. what's your number?
m : 0905.........
me : great, i'll contact you one of these days..

and the conversation went on 'til i needed to leave her..
2 days after, i tried to surf for her name and the talent search so i could recall her face and vote for her.. turns out that the talent search is ongoing but her name is not there.

i have yet to prove that she's a star or near to becoming one.
unless she's a krung krung.

so i think the title of this entry is inappropriate ('til proven otherwise) as i am not a 'star-magnet'.
am i? :p
