unlicensed

there is an 'affair craze' in the office. married man having an affair with a married woman. single girl, who has a 5-year boyfriend having an affair with a married man. seperated woman having a fling with a married man. a lesbian/bi-sexual woman having an affair with a single girl who has a boyfriend. there are also mild cases of harassment. bad news for those involved : the HR Managers knows all about it now.

what i find sad about all these is that some people tolerate the affairs. and the ones who tolerate them are either the elders in the office or the people who are looked up to. most of them are even married themselves.

i was conversing with a co-officer awhile ago and i can sense... no, she actually said it... that she understands those who are involved in the affairs. her reason was, "sakin kasi, pare, kung saan ka masaya, di ba. dun ka. katawan mo yan eh." my heart was screaming, "eh yung kaluluwa mo kanino?" sa isip ko, "alam mo ba sinasabi mo? can you hear yourself?" hindi ako nagmamalinis. but i just cannot believe what i was hearing.

after everything that said, all i could do was shake my head. since i cannot spiel anymore other details and facts of the office issues, i just told her my point of view. "buti sana kung walang sabit." office affairs are ok. nobody can dictate as to whom it should love.

BUT those who got married know that from the very moment they committed themselves into marriage, they are bound forever. you can't and shouldn't be a fair-weathered partner. the love that you share with your partner is supposed to be unconditional. you can't be choosy.

yes, there is no perfect marriage but you can always try. you are supposed to try. nobody is licensed to cheat. no one. neither men nor women. not even the cheated.
